Do I need Xero or accounting software to use Nudged?

No. Nudged is completely standalone. You enter your invoices directly into the app — no integration with any accounting software required. This is one of the main reasons people choose Nudged.

How does Nudged write emails in my voice?

During setup, you either paste a real email you've previously sent to a client, or answer three quick questions about your communication style. Our AI reads that input and generates three reminder templates — warm, nudge, and firm — that sound like you wrote them. You review and approve them before anything gets sent.

What is the Handle With Care toggle?

If you turn on Handle With Care for a specific client, Nudged will never escalate beyond a gentle nudge — even if the invoice is 60 days overdue. It's designed for your most important relationships where you'd rather keep things soft no matter how late the payment is.

When are reminders sent?

Reminders go out at 9am New Zealand time on the scheduled date. The default schedule is: 3 days before due, day of, 7 days overdue, 14 days overdue, 30 days overdue, and 60 days overdue. After 60 days, no further automated reminders are sent.

Can I pause reminders for a client?

Yes. You can pause reminders for any invoice at any time from the dashboard with one click. Reminders will stop immediately and you can resume them whenever you're ready — the schedule picks up from where it left off.

Where does the money go when a client pays via the Pay Now button?

Directly into your own Stripe account. Nudged never holds or touches your money. The Pay Now button is powered by your own connected Stripe account, so all payments land with you. Nudged just receives a notification that payment was made and automatically marks the invoice as paid.

What if a client pays by bank transfer instead?

No problem. If you haven't connected Stripe, or if your client prefers bank transfer, each reminder email automatically includes your bank account number and the invoice reference number. When the money arrives, you mark the invoice as paid in your dashboard with one tap and reminders stop.

Can I edit my reminder templates after setup?

Yes. Go to Settings and find the Your Reminder Templates section. You can edit any template manually or click Regenerate with AI to create a fresh set based on your original style. Nothing changes until you click Save.

Is there a limit on how many invoices I can add?

No. Your $15/month subscription covers unlimited clients and unlimited invoices. There are no usage caps or per-invoice charges.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Go to Settings and click Billing, then Manage Subscription. You can cancel at any time. Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period and you won't be charged again after that.

Is my data secure?

Yes. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We use Supabase for our database which runs on AWS infrastructure with AES-256 encryption. We never store credit card numbers. Each user can only access their own data. For full details see our Privacy Policy.

Can I use Nudged from Australia or other countries?

Yes. Nudged works for any business that invoices clients, regardless of location. Billing is available in NZD. If you'd like to pay in AUD or another currency, get in touch and we'll see what we can do.
